Common Café
Industrial-chic minimalism with a serious focus on the espresso pull.
Industrial-minimalist on the surface, properly nerdy underneath. Common is the café to visit when you actually want to talk to a barista about what they're brewing today.
Atmosphere
Black steel, white marble, exposed concrete, and almost no decoration. The aesthetic is severe in a deliberate way — the room is built around the bar, and the bar is built around the espresso machine.
It's quiet. It's never crowded. The energy is focused rather than social.
Coffee
Genuinely specialty. The espresso programme rotates single origins regularly, and the barista will happily talk you through what's on today. Pour-overs are taken seriously and made to order.
Milk drinks are clean and well-textured. If you order an espresso here you'll get something interesting to taste, not just a default house blend.
Food & Pastries
Minimal food offering — a few biscotti, the occasional cake from a partner bakery, and that's about it. Come for the coffee.
Verdict
The thinking-coffee-drinker's pick in Central Pattaya. Less polished than BRU, more focused on the cup itself.
